Offset, Digital & Thermography Printing
Your choice between flat and raised print makes a big impact on how the final product looks and feels.
Below is a bit more information to help you explore the different options. Our team is always here to help you make the best choice for your needs.
OFFSET PRINTING is a widely used printing technique in which the image is first inked onto a printing plate that transfers the image onto a rubber "blanket" which then rolls that image onto paper or another substrate. Offset printing is great for larger quantity runs and provides accurate color reproduction with a crisp, polished look. DIGITAL PRINTING (also referred to as full-color printing) utilizes a combination of CMYK in a toner base that is fused to the sheet to produce vibrant color. This process is great for all projects that require more color and detail with quicker turnaround times.
THERMOGRAPHY PRINTING gives a high-quality look with a unique feel. Thermography or "raised ink printing" is a process in which an image is flat printed onto paper that we then dust fine powder over. The powder sticks to the wet ink and the remaining loose powder is vacuumed off before the sheet goes through an in-line oven to quickly cure and raise the ink. This process is an effective alternative to achieve a raised effect similar to engraving and embossing. Did we mention that it is also safe to use in laser printers? Adding texture and a bit of shine, thermography print gives a timeless look of classic sophistication. Still unsure which way you want to go? Give us a call, we'd love to help talk you through it!
